Bits of random conversations, overheard during a period of about three months, were documented in a notebook, then recorded and remixed to form new conversations. Audio conversations appear over related and unrelated typographic conversations. This piece tests how we are wired to make sense of these disconnected pieces of content.

Conversations can be misconstrued. Our communication code, language, is flawed. Inflection, generalizations, words unspoken, and pieces of conversations overheard create the infinite number of variables that imply meaning.
In the fall of 2001 while the world focused on the terrible tragedy at the World Trade Centers in New York City, areas around the globe continued to experience horrific acts against humanity. These texts were complied from Harper's Weekly news accounts during the month of September 2001 documenting many of these crimes. The column layout was designed to "fit together", pacing the read, while bridging notions of the conventional printed newspaper with news happening in real time.
